A cheeky take on one of the Bayeux Tapestry’s biggest questions.

For centuries, the Tapestry has been associated with Bayeux, but strong evidence points to it having been made in England, with Canterbury frequently proposed as the most likely centre of production. This design turns that historical debate into something a little less polite.

Awkward. is for anyone who enjoys their history with a bit of wit, especially those fascinated by 1066, Anglo-Saxon England, Norman conquest, and the extraordinary embroidery that survived it all.
Part of the Historic Britain 1066 Collection.

Made in Canterbury T-Shirt | Historic Britain
Bayeux Tapestry T-shirt with a cheeky Canterbury twist, inspired by the theory that the famous embroidery may have been made in England rather than Bayeux.
["organic-icon.png","low-carbon-icon.png","ethical-icon.png
Printed T-shirt
Certified Organic Cotton t-shirt, 155g/m2.
