Raise a cup to England’s deep past with The Crown and Arrow, Wæs Hæl, a striking design inspired by the look of an old hanging pub sign. With its crown, arrow, weathered red board, and rich medieval styling, it feels like something that has stood above a historic inn doorway for centuries.

This piece is made for those who love English history, old tavern culture, and the atmosphere of the medieval world. It has the character of a proper old alehouse sign, proud, bold, and full of story, making it ideal for anyone who wants to wear history with personality. Whether you see it as a nod to kingship, archery, fellowship, or the long memory of England itself, it carries a warm, traditional spirit that stands out beautifully.

What “WÆS HÆL” means
Wæs hæl is an Old English greeting or drinking toast. It basically means:

“Be in good health”
or
“Good health to you”

It is the origin of the word wassail.

How to pronounce it
A commonly given reconstructed pronunciation is roughly:

“waess haal”
or, in a more natural modern English approximation,
“wass hail”

To be fully careful, exact pronunciation of Old English can vary a bit depending on the scholarly reconstruction being used, but “wass hail” is a very reasonable way to say it.
